In August 2007 at 7am, the city of Stratford in Canada awoke to the sounds of the sky filled with classical music as Stratford Summer Music presented the North American premiere of Sky Orchestra.

The new Stratford Summer Music was launched in 2001 to enhance the Stratford summer scene by offering musical programming in addition to the plays and visual arts. The North American premiere of the Sky Orchestra was sponsored by Re/Max.

A farmer was out walking his dog when on returning home he heard strange sounds coming from his barn. Thinking that aliens had landed he quickly rushed indoors. He realised what was going on when the pilot knocked on his door and explained that sky orchestra had just landed in his field.
